The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst the youth. NCC inculcates in the youth a sense of nationalism and secular outlook. It not only gives them thrill and excitement but also makes them understand the values of honesty, truthfulness, self-sacrifice, perseverance and hard work.
The cadets learn how to remain organized and united in times of crisis and lead, irrespective of diversities in religion, language and culture. They are motivated to develop leadership qualities and be available for selfless service to the nation as and when required.
The NCC division was laid out in the school in the year 1998. Deeparians are the members of the Junior Division, Half Troop, Army wing , 37 UP BN NCC, Ghaziabad.
Every year 50 students from classes VIII to X enroll themselves for the position of cadets. ‘A’ level Certificate is being issued to the cadets after the completion of the training.
Many of our cadets have been awarded a cash prize of Rs. 6000 by the Sahara Group and Chief Minister’s Scholarship Scheme.
This year we have applied for the Senior Wing also and it will be introduced from next year. The cadets of Senior Wing will be given ‘C’ Level Certificate on completion of the course.
Cadets achieving ‘C’ Level Certificate have reserved seats in the Indian Army, Airforce, Navy and the Para Military Force. Cadets seeking admission in Government B.Ed and Training Colleges get a relaxation of 5% marks.
Cadets are given training under the able guidance of Mr. R.K Shukla, who is at present holding the position of 1st Officer. He has been awarded the Best NCC Officer 2014-2015 in Ghaziabad at NCC Officer Seminar held in Gorakhpur (21-28 Dec.2014).
Cadets from our school attended the NCC camp at Gautam Budh Balak Inter College, Greater Noida from 12-21 June 2015 where the NCC Girl Cadets of our school were judged as the Best Cadets in Yoga.
